Mardi Gras Special

Bookmark and Share

Ain't no time like Mardi Gras and Miss Sybil put on the dog with some of the swinging-est, beaten-est, jamming-est Mardi Gras tunes out there. If y'all don't know the music of Carnival, then sit back cause Miss Sybil gonna take you on a ride right into the 9th Ward and you'll never want to leave.

As she says:

Everybody loves the party scene
But mostly those folk in New Orleans
I'm playing the tunes on which I was weaned
So we gonna stomp some romp and cream some beans
Wanna have good crop, Gotta have good bait
Who dat say they gonna beat them Saints?

And if you're looking for more, just click on this link:  Mardi Gras Music  and don't forget to check out HOUR 2 of The Stormy Monday Show's Mardi Gras Special.

Miss Sybil started the second hour of our Mardi Gras madness with some old classic Mardi Gras tunes from The Meters, Professor Longhair and Oliver "La La" Morgan. If you had your umbrellas ready, we rolled on into Eddie Bo and Fats Domino and just kept on going until the hour faded away.

You can check out the video below and many other Mardi Gras, Blues, Soul and Jazz classics we discovered on   The Stormy Monday YouTube Channel

Our sponsor this week was Soups and Stews by Lea in beautiful Cocoa Village, Florida.
